On the auspicious occasion of Nowruz, I extend my warmest greetings to all those celebrating this festival of renewal and hope across the world. We are happy to cohost this event along with other Nowruz celebrating countries.

Nowruz is a long standing cultural tradition that welcomes the annual onset of spring, symbolizing rebirth or renewal, and hope and prosperity. Nowruz holds a special place in India's cultural tapestry, primarily through our cherished Parsi community who made India their home over a thousand years ago. Nowruz marks the start of the Parsi New Year. Their journey and integration into Indian society stands as a testament to India's embracing spirit and celebrates the power of cultural harmony.

Despite their modest numbers, the Parsi community's contributions to building modern India has been nothing short of extraordinary. From business and arts to academia and public service, their impact continues to inspire and enrich India’s diversity and progress. Their story reflects the very essence of Nowruz – renewal, hope, and the eternal cycle of new beginnings.

As we celebrate this spring festival, we are reminded of humanity's deep connection with nature and the importance of living in harmony with our environment. These values resonate deeply with India's own traditional wisdom and our contemporary commitment to sustainable development.

Nowruz transcends geographical boundaries embodying universal values of peace, prosperity, and mutual understanding. As recognized by the United Nations, this ancient festival continues to bring people together, fostering cultural dialogue and strengthening the bonds of our shared humanity.

Today, as the world faces various challenges, the message of Nowruz – of renewal, hope, and the triumph of light over darkness – becomes even more relevant. Let this festival inspire us to build bridges of understanding and work together towards a more harmonious world.
