International Women's Day 2024 Special Event

The Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations marked International Women's Day with a special event at the UN Headquarters on March 8, 2024, showcasing the empowerment of women through sustainable farming practices exemplified by Araku Coffee. The event highlighted the significant role of tribal women in the coffee production process in Araku Valley, from cultivation to harvest, which enhances the economic and social well-being of their communities.

Araku Coffee, known for its specialty organic quality, underscored the empowerment of tribal women in Araku Valley through sustainable agriculture. This initiative has contributed to their economic independence and promoted environmental stewardship.
